Ari Salonen, who has spent three years in consulting, digital advertising and analytics at Digiteam, has been appointed Head of eCommerce as of 1 September 2021. <a href=\"https:\/\/digiteam.fi\/en\/tekijat\/profile-ari-salonen\/\">Ari is one of the pioneers of e-commerce in Finland<\/a> and already have a 20-year career as an online retailer. Ari is responsible for e-commerce service development and e-commerce customer relationships. Ari will be supported by an e-commerce team with a full range of expertise from marketing to e-commerce building.<\/p>\n<p>Building and developing a successful e-commerce business requires expertise in a wide range of areas. The company needs to understand the market, customers, the competitive landscape, competitive advantages, technologies, marketing, sales and logistics. All this is difficult to manage and develop within an organisation. Digiteam now offers a solution to this complexity, combining strategic vision, planning and strong practical knowledge and execution.<\/p>\n<p>An understanding and vision of where we are and where we are going will help customers make the right choices for the future. The next step may therefore be to build a new online store. If it is determined that the existing store is serving you well enough, you can move on to building a quality digital marketing plan and implementing digital marketing.<\/p>\n<p>Measuring, benchmarking results against targets and taking the right measures will ensure continuous improvement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ari's comments on Digiteam's new e-commerce services<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\"First of all, I'm more than excited to be in charge of developing Digiteam's e-commerce services! Of course, the project and design work started a year ago, but now is the perfect time to launch the tested services to all interested parties\", says Ari.<\/p>\n<p>\"During my 20-year career as an online retailer, I have often thought that at some point in my career I would like to focus on helping businesses looking to grow online. The challenge and obstacle has been that there are so many things involved in running a successful ecommerce business that one person cannot possibly manage. However, Digiteam now has a skilled e-commerce team in place, which allows my two decades of practical experience in e-commerce to be applied in a quality way.\"<\/p>\n<p>My responsibility, in the role of Head of eCommerce, is to make sure that the customer is moving in the right direction towards the defined goals and achieving them. This, of course, requires that the strategy and the plans derived from it are clear.<\/p>\n<p>My view is that an e-commerce growth strategy is the basis for a quality start. This can be followed by, for example, the implementation of the online store or, if the store is ready, the development of a digital marketing plan based on the strategy.
